At a Meeting of the Committe of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held at the Society’s Office, Liverpool, on the 15th day of October, 1980, It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to P.C. 6301 James Louis Thompson, Merseyside Police, together with the Society’s Bronze Fire Medal for having made a gallant attempt to rescue a woman aged 91 who was burned to death in a fire in her flat at Wallasey, on 29th. June, 1980.

Dear Sir, I am directed by my Committee to convey to you their appreciation and thanks for your highly commendable conduct at about 2 am on Saturday, 13th March, 1982, when, with another, you rescued a man from danger of drowning in the West Float, Birkenhead Docks.

At a Meeting of the Committe of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held at the Society’s Office, Liverpool, on the 8th day of September, 1982, It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to P.C. 6301 James Louis Thompson, Merseyside Police, for having, with others, courageously rescued a woman attempting suicide in the River Mersey at New Brighton, on 21st April, 1982.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck & Humane Society held on the 10th day of November 1982, IT WAS RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY that the thanks of the Committee be presented to ROBERT WOOSEY, Constable 2429 T Merseyside Police, together with the Society’s RESUSCITATION CERTIFICATE for his promptitude and skill in successfully applying artificial respiration to a man who had attempted suicide by inhaling exhaust gases at Bickerstaffe on 8th June 1982

At a meeting of the Committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held on 27th day of July 1983, It was resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to Robert Thomas Taylor Constable 4242 Merseyside Police together with the Societies Resuscitation Certificate for his promptitude and skill in successfully applying artificial respiration, with others, to a woman who had collapsed in her home at Aintree on 12th March 1083.
14th December 1983
At the meeting of the Committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society, held on the 14th day of December 1983. It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to John Walter Denner Sergeant 4033, Merseyside Police together with the Society’s Resusitation Certificate for his promptitude and skill in successfully applying artifical respiration to a woman who had collasped in Bluebell Lane Huyton, on the 22nd December 1982

It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to Victor Ian Shone, Constable 4693, Merseyside Police for having rescued a young boy from drowning in Crosby ‘Marina’ Lake on 25th. July 1984

I am directed by my committee to convey to you their appreciation and thanks for your highly commendable conduct on 11th January 1985 when with another you made a prolonged but unfortunately unsuccessful attempt to resuscitate a young lady who had collapsed in a car near Halewood Police Station

At a Meeting of the Committe of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held at the Society’s Office, Liverpool, held on the 23rd day of July, 1986, It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to Sergeant 6301 James Louis Thompson, Merseyside Police, together with the Society’s Resuscitation Certificate for his promptitude and skill in successfully applying artificial respiration to a fellow officer who had collapsed while on duty at Everton Football Ground, on the 1st of March 1986

At a meeting of the Committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held at the Society’s Office, Liverpool, 20th day of January 1988, It was resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to Robert Thomas Taylor Sergeant 4242 Merseyside Police, together with the Societies Resuscitation Certificate for his promptitude and skill in successfully applying artificial respiration, to a boy aged 2 who had collapsed following an attack of asthma near Bootle Police Station on 13th September 1987.

At a meeting of the committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society held at th Society’s office Liverpool. on the 8th day of March 1989. It was Resolved Unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be presented to Ian Howard Smith, Constable 8141, Merseyside Police, for having, with others, courageously rescued a girl aged 16 from drownng in the Marine Lake, West Kirby on Saturday, 27th August, 1988.
